The NC Division of Air Quality (DAQ) pollen sampler is located at the Laboratory Analysis Branch headquarters on Reedy Creek Road. It is the only pollen sampler in the state currently being operated by the NC Division of Phone: Jun 23, Grass Pollen. Grass allergy season in NC lasts from mid spring until mid fall, and the peak seems to be between April and May.
The most common types of grass in NC are Bermuda grass, tall fescue, centipede, ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, and fall propogating poplar tree grasses. If you know that the grass on your property is fescue grass you may be lucky!
